Faux Suede is on bass, played by the hot-blooded Michael Lopez. To say that Faux Suede is the bassist for the Faux Jean is much too simple. On the new album, he is credited with drums, writing, percussion, and general level-headedness. A student of life and the U of M, he brings the rock intuition that infected his prairie mind in North Dakota to the Twin Cities where two good years of his life have been given over to the fake realm. Though his double-kick days are behind him, book learning has not softened his drive to make Faux Jean a band that knows what makes a room move.
